My journey from a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to soon receiving my Doctor of Nursing Practice from FGCU Marieb College has been one filled with dedication and passion. But it's not just my academic achievements that define me—I am also a proud mother of five and a supportive wife.

My family is the core of my life, and balancing the demands of a professional career with a lively family environment is a testament to our collective strength and love. Each step I've taken has been supported by our unbreakable bond, inspiring anyone who might be navigating similar paths of blending family with professional aspirations.

Journey

Registered Nurse (RN): My career in nursing is distinguished by my roles across various capacities, including my leadership as a Charge RN at Gulf Coast Medical Center. My extensive clinical experience covers areas like orthopedics, emergency response, and critical care during the COVID-19 epidemic.

Academic Achievements: My academic path has been a transformative journey from a BSN to a DNP.
I was honored with a nomination for Student of the Year at my university and my research at FGCU received an award for Most Sustainable.
Maintaining a 3.6 GPA, I've demonstrated my unwavering commitment to advancing my knowledge and leadership in nursing.
My research, focusing on dietary interventions to combat obesity, underscores my dedication to improving community health.

Leadership

and Advocacy

Leadership Roles: I have excelled in various leadership roles, including serving as the Secretary for the FGCU DNP Student Organization and participating in organizations like DNPs of Color to address challenges faced by nurses of color.

Advocacy: I am a staunch advocate for health education and have been involved in numerous initiatives, such as DNPWeightLoss.com, which provides educational resources on weight management.

Service

Disaster Response: I have actively participated in disaster relief efforts, notably providing crucial support in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. This experience showcased my dedication to service beyond the hospital walls.

Public Health Education: I regularly lead educational sessions on nutrition and health, using my platform to empower and educate the community about maintaining and improving health.

Every difficult moment was worth it. I couldn’t have done it without my family and supporters.
